Creeping Thyme is a fragrant, spreading perennial that is native to northwest Europe. Plants form dense mats that create an excellent ground-cover. Creeping Thyme grows six to eight inches tall, and the lavender flowers appear just above the foliage. As with many species in the mint family, the flowers of Creeping Thyme attract many bees. Sowing: Direct sow creeping thyme seeds in EARLY SPRING (WHEN IT IS COLD), NOT HOT!!!, planting just below the surface of the soil. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination, which usually occurs within 3-4 weeks. IF YOU LET THEM DRY OUT THEY WILL NOT GERMINATE.
