A classic prairie species, Pale Purple Coneflower is the true Wisconsin native. This species prefers full-sun and moderate to dry soil.

Note: Our methods for cleaning seed do not include screens needed to remove the parts (bracts, etc.) of many Asteraceae species. You will receive 50 seeds and the additional chaff can be sown with the seeds.

Seeds require 90-105 days of cold moist stratification to germinate. This can be achieved by sowing seed outdoors in late-fall, or by folding seed into a moist paper towel, before sealing in a sandwich bag and placing in the refrigerator. This species is usually pretty reliable and easy to grow.
