Jody Corbitt Field Pea - 1/2 oz. of seeds

This landrace variety of field pea was cultivated in Atkinson County, Georgia for over a century. Named for local farmer Jody Corbitt, it is likely this field pea was a variety that may have come to this part of the South when the family moved here from South Carolina in the early 1800s. Once highly coveted by old time farmers, it makes an excellent pea gravy to put over rice!
