Tatsoi mustard greens are an Asian-style green with high productivity and a mild mustard flavor. They are great for repeat harvests in spring and fall.
Tatsoi (pronounced taht-SOY) is related to mustard greens and is similar in taste to bok choy, but with a little more bite. It's a cool-weather crop in the brassica family. It grows in a round rosette shape similar to cabbage but with spoon-shaped leaves. In fact, you may have heard it referred to as spoon mustard.
It has a mild-mustard flavor that is a great addition to soups or stir-fries. It's also pretty tasty raw. Tatsoi can withstand 15 degree weather and can even be harvested from underneath snow. During cooler months, plants will grow flatter to the ground to protect themselves from freezing temperatures. In warmer months, plants will grow upward florets much similar to other asian greens. Tatsoi is a great source of Vitamins A, C, & K, potassium, calcium, beta-carotene, phosphorous, and iron. I just love the way they taste. 40+ seeds.
