Alternatively, sow the seed in cell packs or small pots and keep warm (64-72 deg F.) and moist for the first 2–4 weeks. After this period the sowing must be kept at a cold temperature, between 25 and 39°F. for another 4–6 weeks. Place the cell packs or pots into plastic Ziploc bags (so they don’t dry out) and place in a cold garage or the refrigerator (not the freezer). After this cooling-period move into a cool area (41-54 deg. F.) for germination.  Even if germination has started, don’t put in an area that is warmer than this.
